Preliminary IABC international conference program and registration are online

IABC has launched its preliminary web site for the June 22 - 25, 2008 International Conference in New York. The stellar line-up of presenters for IABC/2008 New York includes Charles Fombrun of The Reputation Institute; Seth Godin, best-selling author and marketing guru; Aaron Uhrmacher, award-winning media consultant named 2007 “Young PR Professional of the Year” by PR Week; and creativity leader and author, Sam Harrison. Start the conference in style at Sunday’s Welcoming Reception in the world-famous Rainbow Room 65 floors above Manhattan. Then join emcee Padma Lakshmi, award-winning author and television show host, and the Tony

IABC is taking bold steps to leave a positive environmental legacy in New York with green initiatives that include replacing printed speaker handouts with a flash drive, printing the conference brochure on paper from sustainable forests, providing onsite recycling at the conference hotel, and hosting a pre-conference community project to plant 1,000 trees with Million Trees NYC and the New York Restoration Project.

Upcoming Accreditation Seminar
Join Nick Durutta, ABC, on 20 March 2008 for his teleseminar “Developing Your Accreditation Portfolio.” This session will include a short overview of the steps involved in accreditation and an in-depth review of what makes a good portfolio, with a focus on writing a work plan that meets the portfolio-grading criteria.

This teleseminar is designed for anyone who is an accreditation candidate and is still working on their portfolio, as well as for any IABC member considering accreditation. Register now!
